As an organisation involved in the recycling and processing of scrap and waste material, we are acutely aware of the positive effects our expertise can have on the environment. Our aim is always to use our ingenuity and imagination to maximise these wherever we can.
One aspect of our work that particularly benefits the local environment is the removal of abandoned vehicles rapidly and safely to minimise any hazard to the public. Once we have removed these vehicles, we depollute them by removing the tyres, shock absorbers and airbags and draining all fuel, oil, gearbox lubricants and coolants. The remaining material is then ready to be recycled. We also recycle lead acid batteries.
In addition we supply depolluted cars to the East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service to help them train their Firefighters to respond effectively to road traffic accidents.
